Young Doctors Workshop
SO YOU WANT TO BE A DOCTOR?
University of London Union • 3rd October and again on the 4th December 2010 (from 10.30 – 4.30) • ages 11-14
The Young Doctors Workshop will give you the chance to explore the world of modern medicine and the lives of doctors. Take part in activities run by doctors and medical students, find out about diseases and treatments, try your hand at diagnosis and debate with fellow students about moral issues in medicine.
NEUROLOGY: Find out how the brain and nervous system work… and how they can go wrong
DIAGNOSIS: Learn some of the signs used to identify major diseases
MEDICAL ETHICS: Act out different problems and decide what it is right for doctors to do
TREATMENT: Discover how amazing new medical technology is changing the lives of doctors and patients!

Book a Place
The fee for the Young Doctors Workshop is £85. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Debate Chamber offers a limited number of full and partial bursaries for students who would otherwise have difficulty attending.
