Creative Writing Feedback
It’s the perfect course if you enjoy literature, reading and writing in your free time. It also provides you with a more in depth study of what techniques writers use which you then get the chance to experiment with in your own writing.
Laura, Guildford High School
I found the course really enjoyable, the teaching was great and it was really good to mix with people who have similar aspirations and interests!
Sofia, Sir Roger Manwoods College
If you love writing, exploring why and how authors write and discussing literature with people who are equally passionate about it, then this is the course for you.
Ella, Prendergast College
I would definitely recommend this course, not only because it was incredibly instructive and helpful in terms of reading and texts and how to apply certain skills to your own writing, it was also a lot of fun. To spend a weekend on creative writing, to just let your ideas and imagination run off, in a room with like minded and interested people, is a great opportunity.
Imogen, Marylebone School
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in sharpening their writing skills. The course teaches you many techniques which you would probably not learn at school, which is helpful not only with exams but also for your personal satisfaction. I found the atmosphere very friendly and the tutor was amazing: if you take this course you will not regret it!
Jodie, Watford Grammar School
I enjoyed the weekend, and learnt about creative writing in greater depth and learnt a lot about poems and how the poet tries to portray their message. I met some great new friends who gave me ideas from their work that I could use in the future

If you want to get good feedback on your writing this is definitely worth while doing. Make sure to bring in something you have been working on outside of the course to develop it further.
Monique, City of Westminster College
The Creative Writing Summer School gave me an experience I will surely not forget. The things I learnt were incredibly valuable and the people I met extremely encouraging and friendly. It was nice to have the chance to share my work with others who think similarly to me and also to see what they had written. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to go!
Terri-Ceres, St Thomas More School
The course was fantastic, shaped to fit our own interests and ideas. Looking at literature and then drawing from our analysis to write our work meant that I thought much more deeply about what I was doing. The tutors were brilliant and all three days were amazing. It was nice to spend time with other like-minded people and see all the different talents people had. Overall, it was brilliant.
Ramya, North London Collegiate College
The course was really helpful for inspiring one to pick up a pen again, especially after the stress of AS level exams. It was also a course which helped everyone, no matter their ability, to realise they can write. The constructive criticism received was kind and always helpful.
Kiera, Christs Hospital School
I definitely got what I came for – a fun, enjoyable and educational three days with others my age, as well as a definite improvement in my creative writing skills. The classes were interesting, the teachers were well-chosen and obviously very interested in what they were teaching us, and I had time in which to write my own pieces and have them critiqued by the class, which I found very helpful. The location was also good, easy to get to, and lunch was cheap. Overall, it was a great course that I would definitely recommend.
Helena, James Allen’s Girls School
A relaxed, engaging experience for those who are interested in analysing texts in order to develop their own creative writing skills. This course offers an amazing opportunity to get valuable advice about your work from open, witty tutors.
Gabriella, Haberdasher Aske’s School
I thought the whole thing was great, the balanced lessons, the venue, the topics, but I thought the best thing was the quality of the teachers, who both seemed very passionate about their subjects and this rubbed off on their students!
Sam, Aylesbury Grammar School
It was wonderful to learn a lot in a friendly and creative environment and really helpful towards my GCSEs.
Emma, Sevenoaks School
